Contribute to the September 2024 issue of Community Connect for your last chance to be in the running to win a $300.00 prize before Christmas, in the inaugural Community Connect Annual Awards.
The Community Connect quarterly tenant newsletter started 3 years ago in May 2021, following the merger between Link Housing and Wentworth Community Housing, and this is already the 13th issue. It continues to grow from strength to strength.
Several tenants devote much time and energy serving on the Editorial Committee and it is pleasing to see that so many other tenants now have wished to contribute articles and artworks to it.
To encourage this, Link Wentworth has announced the inaugural Community Connect Annual Awards. Each year, prizes will be awarded for the best 3 articles and the best 3 artworks that have been published in Community Connect in the previous year.
Link Wentworth residents can nominate up to six articles or artworks to win one of six $300 prizes 鈥� three for art and three for articles. Every nomination will go into a draw for 5 x $50 vouchers.
The main features and rules of the competition are:
- September – The June and September issues of Community Connect will announce the competition and call for nominations from residents and staff
- October – Residents and staff can nominate up to 6 articles and artworks for a prize
- November – The Prize Committee meets to consider the nominations and to vote. The Competition Coordinator then notifies the successful prize winners.
- December – Prize winners are announced in the December issue of Community Connect.
Each prize winner will receive a certificate and a monetary prize of $300, to be paid before Christmas.

The Awards winners will be voted on by a Prize Committee, made up of a tenant majority, with Link Wentworth staff.
Nominations open in September. Details of how to nominate will be included in the September issue of Community Connect and all winners will be announced in the December issue.
