Chinese-StyleÌý Curry With RiceÌýÌý
Makes 2 – 4 ServesÌý
Step 1 – RiceÌý
Prepare your rice according to the instructions on the packet. While the rice is cooking, make the curry.Ìý
Step 2 – Curry SauceÌý
Heat your pot on the stove at medium-high heat and then add:ÌýÌý
20 to 30 ml oilÌý
1 medium onion, choppedÌýÌý
1-1/2 celery stick, choppedÌý
1 tsp mild curry powderÌý
½ – ¼ tsp hot curry powderÌýÌý
1 – 2 tsp crushed garlicÌýÌý
70 – 80g cornflourÌýÌý
Stir for 2 minutesÌý
Step 3Ìý
Add 500-550 mL of warm water, to reach desired consistency;Ìý
Add 340-360g per serve ofÌýgreen prawnsÌýÌý
Bring to the boil on medium heat and watch the sauce thicken, then add 1 tablespoon sesame oil.Ìý
Take off the heat as soon as the sauce has thickened.Ìý
Salt to taste.Ìý
A quick stir.Ìý
Top with sliced spring onionÌýto garnish.Ìý
