Peace in our aloneness
by Paula Hanlon
There is peace in our aloneness
Time to reconnect with those we know
We share our journeys along the way
To show others no need to fear
There is peace in our aloneness
Time to learn and add new skills
To extend ourselves beyond our limits
To shine through the darkness
There is peace in our aloneness
Time to appreciate the natural world
The sun, breeze and rain that surrounds
The smells and sights that add a smile
There is peace in our aloneness
Time to share a prayer above
To ask for guidance on how to help
To be the measure of God’s love.
Love
By Gordon Wheat
Love is like an ocean;
Boundless and sometimes turbulent.
Sometimes calm and tranquil
Never staying still;
And deeps as a wide, wide valley;
sometimes unforgiving,
never still for a moment,
it offers cool relief in times of heat.
