All tenants are welcome to share contributions in Community Connect. Every one of you has so many interesting stories, knowledge and experiences to share.
Over 12 quarterly issues of Community Connect have been published in the three years since the merger between Link and Wentworth and it has developed over this time to become an excellent tenant newsletter. And others in the community housing sector are noticing. Staff at Bridge Housing, in particular, recently contacted Link Wentworth to say how impressed they were with Community Connect and that they thought the contributions from tenants really made it stand out.
New features in this issue include:
Growing Concerns Gardening page
Perfect Pets pictures page
Snapped feature photo page
Policy update
There are many ways to contribute, the range is really only limited by your imagination.
You might like to tell your story, as one of the feature tenant profiles. You could send in an artwork or write an article – or even a regular or occasional series of articles – about things that you have a passion for, such as:
- Literature and books
- Art and music
- Film, television and theatre
- Sport
- The environment
- Philosophy and religion
- Community welfare
- Cooking
- Gardening
Even if you feel that you do not have great writing skills, or if English is not your first language, your contributions are still welcome. Your Editorial Committee and Link Wentworth’s professional Communications staff are here to help you make your voice heard.
And another reason to contribute: announcing the Community Connect Annual Awards for Excellence
- Each year, your Editorial Committee will vote for the best feature articles and artworks contributed by tenants
- Three prizes awarded in each category
- Win $300 and a certificate of recognition
- Tenants can vote on their favourite article or artwork throughout the year.
